TR: Monarch Ski Area 2/1/2014

With 3-4 FEET of new snow across the state, Colorado was going off on Superbowl weekend. Unfortunately, this meant that everybody and their mom decided to go skiing on the Saturday before the game. Facing epic I-70 traffic, Amee, Chris, Ryan and I decided to head a bit south to Monarch Mountain, an unknown, local gem in central CO. With 44" out of the storm, the skiing in Mirkwood was all time.

Chris slashes a turn into deep snow in Mirkwood Bowl... at 2pm.

Is it really 2pm the day after the storm? Chris finds a deep pocket.
