Hagar Mountain Skiing 3/23/2012
Hagar Mountain (13,195') is a favorite easy access spring line of mine, sitting at the head of Dry Gulch near Loveland Ski Area. It's easy to access via the backcountry gate at the top of Chair 8 combined with a car shuttle at the bottom of Dry Gulch. Hagar is not particularly steep or technical, but it does offer a nice, consistent 40 degree pitch for 1,000', followed by an additional 1,000' of open, mellow corn skiing to hit the valley floor.
