Loveland Corn Harvest/Longboard Day 4/30/2011
Corn Harvest is always one of my favorite ski days of the year. It's a fundraiser for the Colorado Avalanche Information Center, but it's also just a rocking ski party.
Twice now, I've also participated in an unofficial event that coincides with the Corn Harvest: Longboard Day. The rules for LBD are simple:
1) Men's skis must be 210cm or longer.
2) Men's skis must be 210cm or longer.
3) Women must ski any straight, skinny traditional ski.
4) Snowboards must be 200cm or longer.
The "organizer" of this event, Ryan, also hosts the Hamm's 12-pack Challenge." Anyone that can ski his 214cm Rossignol VASectomizers all day gets a 12-pack of Hamms, and bragging rights. I felt that this was my year to take the challenge.
All of these photos are from Ryan or others.
