Mt. Evans Skiing 6/19/2010
Just before flying to SoCal for 8 days for a kart race, I really needed one more day in the mountains. So I did a quick solo ski mission up to Mt. Evans before work. It was day 60 on skis for the 09/10 season - not bad for a low snow year and working full time.
Mt. Evans is beautiful in it's convenience. A wilderness experience it is not, due to the paved road that runs to within a few hundred yards of the summit. But, for an alpine setting with minimal effort, it's hard to beat.
