Steamboat Skiing 12/16/ to 12/18/2008
Steamboat was INSANE. It really didn't snow very much while we were there, but the hike-to terrain on Mt. Werner (the East Face, specifically) had just opened recently, and the 20min hike and foggy weather seemed to be deterring everybody. We pretty much had the place to ourselves and just hiked it over and over again.
The snow was amazing. Light, bottomless. And the terrain was even better - pretty much just a giant, steep boulderfield with big fat pillows of snow on top of everything. It was ridiculously fun.
