Coon Hill Skiing 5/11/2008
Who says ski season is over?
I met up with Lacy and Dave to ski Coon Hill. It's an unimportant mountain, as mountains go, but it's highly visible from the Ridge at Loveland (so you stare at it all year) and as it turns out, has some super cool lines on it. So despite topping out at just over 12,700', Coon Hill is worthwhile.
Unfortunately, the snow conditions were not quite ideal... and I skied like crap. Not because of the snow, I just sucked. Ah well, next time. It was really fun to get out into some big terrain regardless - although fairly benign in the grand scheme of things, it was some of the wildest terrain I've ever experienced.
