4/19 - 4/20/2008 Aspen Highlands Skiing
Despite all the glitz and glam, at it's core Aspen Ski Co. is still run by skiers. In particular, Aspen Highlands has managed to somewhat remain a skier's mountain first and foremost (the rest of them, especially Snowmass, are tourist haven). On that note, Highlands decided to stay open late this year since the snowpack is so deep, and offer lift tickets for less than half price. Lodging was super cheap as well. How could we resist?
The crew consisted of myself, Emilie, Doug, and Bert representing the telemarkers, and Charles and Steph on alpine. We had a pretty killer trip at a killer mountain with a lot of steep skiing...
