TR: Dry Gulch 7/3/2010
My mom's birthday was July 3rd, so I went for a hike with her and her two dogs, Kali (a golden retriever mix) and Pepper (an akita and border collie mix). We chose Dry Gulch, which I've spent a good bit of time in during the winter since it's the next valley over from my home ski resort, Loveland. But, I had never been up there in the summer. It wound up being a good choice, as we only saw one group of people, a rarity in the Colorado Front Range on a holiday weekend!
The not-so-dry creek in Dry Gulch.

Hagar Mountain on the left and Citadel Peak on the right. I've skied both of these.

A cool dead tree turned birdhouse.

Looking back down Dry Gulch towards Mt. Sniktau.

Mt Trelease.

There were a lot of cool wooden features.

Mom and the dogs.

The dogs, of course, had the most fun.

A great day in the mountains!
