This view was impossible to capture on camera. We were hiking in the shade much of the day, but the area to the southwest was in full fall splendor and lit up by the sun.

To the southwest again. Pretty sure that little biit of water is Round Pond.

Most of the 46 High Peaks are visible from Giant's summit. The first time I was on Giant it was very hazy, so it was cool to come up here again when the air was a little clearer (despite the storm front moving in). Giant Mountain is the 12th highest in NY state at 4627' (only 3000' lower than my house in CO...)

I swear, this is the last shot of the view to the southwest. (It also happens to be the best one.)

The three weeks of technicolor in the fall is by far the prettiest time of the year in NY.
