Chapel Pond Slab Climbing 5/23/2007

Looking out from the Pitch 5 belay.

Sarah, my climbing partner for these 3 days, at the P5 belay.

Me at the top of P6, where the technical climbing ends. 1-2 pitches of class 4 climbing lead to the top.

An awesome view of Chapel Pond from a ledge midway up the class 4 section. It looked as though some parties rap off after P6, which I think is a huge mistake because you miss the view from this ledge.

It was cool to get such a good view of Giant Mountain from this side. I've climbed the peak twice; getting another perspective on it is always fun.

After climbing the slab, we went into Lake Placid for a bit, then drove to the road the leads to Heart Lake and sat and watched the sunset. Gorgeous.
